Overview. full-scope engineering for a 4.0 km lean gas pipeline system intended to fuel a new distribution station for a cement manufacturer. The goal was to deliver a reliable and cost-effective gas flow while ensuring full regulatory and technical compliance.
Scope of Work. - FEED (costing, planning, routing studies) - Detailed multi-discipline engineering (Process, Civil, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation) - Pipeline alignment sheets, GA drawings, stress analysis - Vendor coordination and procurement support - Construction support, HAZOP participation, system interface
Key Deliverables.
Tools & Standards. AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, CADWorx, CAESAR II, Aspen HYSYS. Compliant with API, ASME, IEC, local safety standards.
Results & Impact. The pipeline was designed for optimal flow and safety, reducing potential rework during fabrication. The engineering approach enabled smooth procurement, reduced interface risks, and ensured constructability with limited re-routing.
Challenges Solved. Tight ROW alignment with multiple road crossings, corrosive soil requiring cathodic protection, integration with existing plant utilities — mitigated through smart routing and modular documentation.
