Structural Stress Analysis of Cold Box — STAAD.Pro
Overview. Comprehensive study of the structural integrity of a cold box for a US cryogenic equipment manufacturer: 3D modeling, static/dynamic analyses, and optimization recommendations for real-world operating conditions.
Scope of Work.
- In-place structural analysis under operating conditions (3D model in STAAD.Pro).
- Lifting analyses (horizontal, inclined, vertical) for installation and maintenance.
- Transport studies (land/sea): stability, stress points, and vulnerabilities.
- Design of welded joints via RAM Connection (tubulars/connections).
- Anchor bolt calculations for operation and transport.
- Mitigation measures: addition of bracings/reinforcement plates when required.
Key Deliverables. Detailed analysis report (methodology, results, recommendations) consolidating structural performance, safety, and optimization actions.
